The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team. As a Support Team Engineer at VoPay, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our payment solutions for clients. You will be responsible for handling support tickets at all levels and working collaboratively to resolve issues promptly and effectively. The role requires you to develop a deep technical understanding of our products, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch customer experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing assistance through all levels of support.
  • Investigate and diagnose reported problems to determine their root causes and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Development, QA, and Product Management to resolve complex issues and implement solutions.
  • Document detailed case information, steps taken, and solutions provided for future reference.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams and ensure timely communication to customers regarding issue resolution progress.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior support team members.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on product enhancements and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and knowledge base resources.

Skills and Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a fintech or software development environment.
  • Experience in developing and/or working with APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues, including but not limited to API integrations and software configurations.
  • Experience working with MySQL or other relational database servers.
  • Familiarity with payment processing concepts, protocols, and industry standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Compensation

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
