Position Overview:
We're looking to complement the team with someone who thrives on understanding complex fintech problems through rigorous research and translating insights into exceptional user experiences. If you're someone who obsesses over customer pain points, benchmarks rigorously, and designs experiences that feel effortless—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Discovery
Conduct comprehensive user research using various methodologies (interviews, surveys, observational studies, card sorting, tree testing)
Analyze payment industry trends and fintech best practices
Create user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints specific to financial services
Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking against industry leaders
Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to uncover business and user needs
Clearly present research findings, design rationale, and user feedback to stakeholders
Design & Validation
Transform research insights into design hypotheses and prototypes
Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs for payment interfaces
Design and conduct usability testing sessions for fintech products
Collaborate with product managers to define acceptance criteria based on user needs
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure feasible implementation
Create design systems and guidelines specific to financial compliance requirements
Strategic Impact
Influence product roadmap through data-driven insights
Present research findings and design recommendations to executive leadership
Champion user-centered design principles across the organization
Validate design decisions through metrics and user feedback
Support product managers in making informed feature prioritization decisions
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in UX design with a strong research component, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or complex B2B environments.
A portfolio that demonstrates a thoughtful design process grounded in research and a deep understanding of user problems.
Proven experience conducting end-to-end research—from planning and execution to synthesis and actionable insights.
Strong communication and storytelling skills to clearly articulate the why behind design decisions.
Comfortable balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with tools like Figma, Sketch, and AI-powered platforms like Lovable, V0 or similar.
Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Excellent documentation skills: able to produce clear, concise research reports and design specifications.

Compensation

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
