Accounting Manager

VoPay is a leader in digital payment technology, transforming the way businesses handle payments. We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in overseeing core financial operations, including payroll, commission calculations, and supporting key financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee and manage the semi-monthly payroll process for all employees, ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits, handle payroll deductions, and address any payroll-related questions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll reporting to senior management.
  • Commission Calculations:
  • Lead the monthly calculation of commissions based on defined sales metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to verify data accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed commission reports for review by the executive team.
  • Financial Reporting and Controller Support:
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • General Accounting Duties:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and insights to senior management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Prior experience working in a payment-related company or the financial technology industry is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in payroll, commission calculations, AP/AR management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and GAAP principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
